FAQs
When do call charges begin?
A:
There are two basic reasons:
Due to the unique way in which Roam4Less routes its calls, charges for outgoing calls start as soon as the SEND button is pressed to initiate the call. Roam4Less phones and SIM cards will be charged for a 1 minute call even if the called party is busy or does not answer their phone.
For incoming calls, airtime charges begin when the Roam4Less user accepts the call.
What are the charges for calls that go to Voicemail?
A:
There are two basic reasons:
If a Roam4Less phone has been powered OFF, there are no airtime charges associated with inbound calls that go to voicemail. However, if the Roam4Less phone is ON and an inbound call goes to voicemail (because the phone is in use, or the call is not answered, or the IGNORE button is pressed) then the phone will be charged airtime for the inbound call. To avoid fees associated with voicemail, simply deactivate voicemail by dialling #002# SEND.
Are there any text message limitations?
A:
There are two basic reasons:
Certain American phone carriers, such as Verizon and Sprint, are unable to exchange text messages with Roam4Less phones because they use a different SMS protocol. An alternative method to send text messages to the Roam4Less phone is using an online service such as www.ipipi.com. The text messages are only 10 cents and you can send text messages directly from your email account.
When sending text messages to a Roam4Less phone, the messages must be sent to the SMS number, which is a Belgium mobile number (country code 32).
